Cheyyambakkam, a village located 50 km of Madras (Chennai) in Nadu Tamil suffers from droughts.  With no irrigation, the small farmers collect only one crop and standards of living are very low.  This project provides working capital through loans to poor women for the purchase of a cow or a goat and gives them support with the marketing of the milk.  The partner coordinates the training and helps with the breeding, the credit and the marketing of milk.  The refunded loans will make it possible to extend this service to other recipients after one year.  Part time veterinary doctor .
