This construction is part of a program to ressettle migrants in rural areas. By giving them land, and the means to start their activities, they settle with their families and within one year become financially independant, while benefitting form the infrastructures of the program, including schools for their children.

Houses built years ago for the first beneficiaries were severely damaged by hurricanes, and FdnF has committed itself to rebuild 8 houses in one village.

The project is financially supported by the Comites : Bern (1 house), Geneva(2 houses), Neuchatel(1 house), Vaud (3 houses) and Valais (1 house).
